An auction house wouldn't fit with the game, it is not an mmo. A trading system between players woul ...

well it's going to be MMO soon, once developers run coop mode.. so why not make the auction..
Even if there won't be such thing as coop mode, the auction will do perfectly anyways .. It's the good way to get rid of the stuff you actually don't need and make some karma... of cos you can always sell some junk to the NPC trader , but this guy's middle name should've been "rip-off" , cos he offers you so little, even for a good green items, it's kinda like a pawn shop lol

mmos are not the only kind of game with multiplayer... this will remain as an arpg, due to dungeon crawling element and lack of big maps

well yeah, it ain't gonna be mmorpg per se, but what i meant is that it's gonna have some sorta multiplayer , ppl will be able to communicate through the game somehow... so even if they won't be able to play together, they at least could have an auction or something like that ...like in Diablo 3

I doubt it, no one will sell it cheap knowing the items are precious to other players. Its likely more expensive than the ones available at the shop.

Players are smart. Why buy something more expensive when you can get it cheaper in the shops?

An exception might be purples from the rare item shop.

My point is, people will make friends, and give out rare weapons and armor to their friends, pass them on, etc etc.

This will result in the need for making money lowering, which lowers the amount of income to spicyhorse from karma purchases. Think long term, not short term. Yes, there is no multiplayer yet, but when there is, auction house would lead to over stocked items that will cost a few hundred karma, or overpriced items that will sit in the auction forever and never sell.
