Uhm i was told differently: top 4 cards stats and avoid def db like hell. Dbs are also a gluttony resource, you'll never have enough.
To don't worry at all, you can save until your full nm deck, then start att db on your best card. Check how is going. Change stat or change card, db again, check and so on.

i got only 1 nm which is naberius, even continue to aug +6 without thinking much about isla difficulty, ofcos opponents got way stronger n i had a hard time getting tru even the 5th fight, wasnt even using any crowd control then, so usually by then i would hav sacrificed all my disciples.

the problem wasnt juz not using fear, it was becos beside naberius, all other disciples havent got as good sustainability, sometimes enemies juz seem to focus on one particular disciple, n one by one the team goes down real fast. so I remembered reading here tat is better to hav a balanced team instead of juz one outstanding card, tats when i decided to increased all their hp to 150k or so, n def to 10k cos naberius is also 10k def, naberius has about 360k hp. i feel hp plays bigger role as sustainability than def, becos my banpyre with 138k hp n 10.5k def is always the 1st to go down, fa with 155k hp n 8.6k def otoh dies alot less, fa is even the one at the front line casting fear... i dont know, simply my experience...
tat said, some say hp while some say general stats some say lvl, I keep my disciples dps n def on par(not naberius though, she has gone beyond my control XD), i've ran into a same opponent twice in isla, has a +4 or +5 mortesuka, has 9k dps n a whooping 23k def which is way higher than my naberius 18k dps but i easily won, so imho offence is the best defence in isla

as for the skills, tats actually very much up to player preference, fear is a must though, tried invincibility but doesnt like cos dps took a hit, i prefer dishing out all the aoe's when enemies still in fear, then either leave the toughest but has no crowd control skill to deal with for the last, or those lower dps or has no elemental advantage over me. opponent tat last tru fear n still strong, on retry i will start with focusing 2 disciples on it then aoe, so far only lamia, succubi n gibbin over 500k hp tat I hav to b careful, but after u learned to kill them once, u can kill them twice ;)

I think as well as some balance in top few cards (pushing one card in particular really high isn't in balance) training synergy  seems critical.

I was in a bad way with rainbow team (all pre NM) and struggling in IM.

I changed to an all wind team, an improved skill synergy.
This was pre my first comments in this thread. Since then I proceeded to NM wwwb and he is now lvl 30.

Still only one NM so far but as mentioned good synergy in wind team

Now I'm unsure of next moves. Pump IM for weeks? I can complete it so this might be best approach, however I can NM atcleast 2 other wind cards already so maybe only push until I can NM 4?

Or do I put FA over NMand push her upto lvl 30? All skills are maxed except DS.

NM other wind (decent) cards shouldn't affect your mare, oh well it would affect less than your benefits, so it is good. NM deck is also better outside mare.
The question is how fast would you get another great wind card and do you will have marestones to nm? Answer that, but i think you can NM something else without waiting.

@Zaarongvcd: hell yeah, nm cards if you're gonna use em in your final deck. Getting more cards to NM level makes the game much more fun imo. Just don't waste time n resources on crap cards.

Falling cardeausnonNM lvl 25 Aug +1 and
Bunyipe (not sure the spelling!) NonNM lvl25 and Aug +1

Thinking about NM bunyipe or FA but not sure.
Been also wondering if I +1to wwwb?

Likely gonna NM bunyipe...

Any thoughts?

Are mye other cards OK for final team?
I think they are, also though if I end up with 4 strong NM wind cards, how hard is it to then develop another team like earth or liquid?

I should add I can NM all 3 other wind cards at any point, but am wondering if I hold of for month or so and Farm in IM till I can NM 6 cards or more?

I think you have a decent wind deck and you can nm what do you want. Maybe you will swap someone in the future though.
Once you have an nm deck, you can collect other elements without worrying too much about mare, since your first deck will have the necessary synergy to compensate a strong card of different element.

Indeed, NMing disciples isn't as big commitment as putting best gold equipment on em. Just NM if u got the stones and the disciples have good skills u can utilize even at later stages.

hi ev1, juz wanna share something tat happened last night...

since i've been able to clear isla i've decided to cease progress on my main deck(lets juz play the scenario tat the 5th card does not affect isla difficulty, for now), while i still used some hp db on 1 of the card but dont notice increased in difficulty. able to clear isla for almost 2 weeks now without losing any card except for tat 2 times tat i fell asleep, but still i was already in the 3rd region so i din feel tat sorry, but last night was a whole different story @@

my main deck has a total of about 820k hp, opponents hp usually ranged between 750k ~ 1.1m, opponent decks with higher hp will usually hav a healer or a really weak card tat i can 1 hit. last night though, tat deck with 4 nm cards has got 1.4m hp! dude tats almost 30% higher than other decks n 70% higher than mine! needless to say i lost the whole deck n tis was only in kakorha#... at tis point i m only left with 1 last card tat is decent enuf to support in isla...

now lets talk about the 5th card, which is about half as weak as the 4th card, i hav been using some hp db n also augment afew times but nvr notice increased difficulty, so i continue to +6 after finishing isla 2 nights ago. lets assume tat triggered isla to increase difficulty, n the augment gav the card a 15% stats gain(honestly I dont know how much), the card is still far behind the 4th card, n even if isla does factor in all top 5 cards to determine difficulty, man, its a 5th card, u dont increase opponent stats by 30% becos a 5th card gained 15%!!! tats juz insane!!!

the fight before it, opponent has a moon mistress with 850k hp, deck total hp was about 1.2m, tats when i think something is not right becos previously i nvr had opponent with main dealer more than 700k hp, even then its already absurd being put up against an opponent twice as strong, my main only has 370k hp... i understand the challenge n if it had happened somewhere in the 3rd region i would hav juz accept defeat call it a day n go to bed, but no, its only the 2nd region n who knows wat else got lined up in the 3rd region... hadnt play isla today but lets hope I still get to clear...
